Something very annoying just happened before. At around 1:30 p.m. I went to the shopping centre near my house. But today…
First Kiss
On Tuesday, June 28, this blog will be one year old. In my wildest dreams, I never thought I’d write over 170 posts that would attract over 8,500 visitors and garner over 16,000 views from 67 different countries!
Since we’re now in midsummer, I’d like to repost a piece I wrote last year about my first summertime kiss. Many of you may not have read it before. I hope you enjoy it.
A bit long – but I promise it’s worth it! 😉

Attack of the Amazon – or, Bike Saga, Part 3
So. Further to my unofficial bike saga, wherein Part 1 was Quintessential Montreal: The Little Bike That Fit, and Part 2 was It’s Just Like Riding a Bicycle…, I am recounting my latest bike escapade to you now, while it’s still fresh in my mind.
Book Progress Report #5
Wow! I’m here to tell you folks that I’ve finished the first draft of my book! It was three months ago when I last gave you an update.
Friday Follies #43 – 4 mistakes that make me go “Arghhh”!
Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday Follies. The Grammar Cop is pleased – no, make that not pleased – to present this little collection of gaffes.
Windows on the Past – a family on a Sunday outing
Many a Montreal family has virtually the same photo as this one – the same grouping (parents and child(ren), posing at the Lookout located at Mount Royal’s Chalet.
