Aaaand November’s medical merry-go-round is over! Forget it!

  • October 29 (okay, this preceded November, but not by much): Cataract surgery! Hospital outpatient procedure, followed by three different kinds of eye drops… for weeks! Wow! Fun! Not really! The good part though? Free! Thank you, Canada!! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ πŸ˜ƒ Okay, forget it! I’m fine now!
  • November 14 (actually the entire week and the next one): Shingles! Clinic, then hospital – because it’s near my eye that was operated on!! More drops! Pills the size for a horse! Almost all free! Thank you, Canada!! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ πŸ˜ƒ Okay, forget it! I’m fine now!
  • November 22 (and the 23rd): My dear husband John had a flare-up of his Parkinson’s symptoms! One thing led to another (confusion↔anxiety↔pain in chest↔pain in head), so 911 ➑ hospital… where all tests were negative, and the only ‘positive’ finding was dehydration, so he was put on an IV to help with that. After a very tiring experience for poor John, he was allowed to come home with me – if I promised to stick to him like glue as he walked around our apartment, because he was quite wobbly, even with his walker. I duly promised. Free! Thank you, Canada!! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ πŸ˜ƒ Okay, forget it, because…
  • December 14 (today): John is drinking more water, and is much better now. Yay!!! Okay, forget it! But stay tuned for my next posts about 1) our traumatized new cat, and 2) our magical endless roll of food wrap.
