Montreal – land of my birth…
Okay, this isn’t really going to be about the entire land of my birth. That would actually be Canada! No, I’m just going to share a few memories of our apartment at 5998 Park Avenue where I was brought home from the hospital at one week of age, and lived until the age of four, when we moved further west.
Montreal → Montréal
Montreal used to be a bilingual city. It now has a unilingual-French “face” which is better for its majority-French-speaking citizens, I suppose, but not so wonderful for all the speakers of English, Italian, Greek, Chinese, and so on, who still live here.
Time Capsule 1962
Fifty-four years ago, in 1962, I came of age. Not just because I graduated from high school at the tender age of 16. And not because I shortly afterward landed my first job. (Prudential Assurance, corner of Dorchester and University.)

By the way, the book is now called (drum roll):
Windows on the Past – a family on a Sunday outing

Dining With a Visitor in Montreal
If your guest has only a few days to spend in our fair city, as mine recently did, might I suggest a foodie jaunt that won’t break your budget…well, not too badly, anyway!
Friday Follies #41 – 3 mistakes that make me go “Arghhh”!
Welcome back, Friday Follies fans! (Oooh, triple alliteration!) The Grammar Cop’s haul today features three annoying errors… well, annoying to said Grammar Cop, anyway.
