I had no idea when I bought this ordinary nameless “plastic wrap” what lay ahead. Years ahead, that is.
I think I bought it at least a decade ago. For sure it was before my now-husband John first visited me in Montreal (from Sudbury). He swears that its purchase preceded his 2016 entrance into my life. It lay, he reminds me, in one of my kitchen drawers where I was living at the time. John is a big fan of plastic wrap for leftovers, so as our erstwhile chief cook, he definitely remembers that I had it back then, as he used it fairly often.
And WE STILL HAVE IT!!! Apparently 305 metres lasts a Very Long Time!!!
We have dubbed this roll of plastic wrap the Endless Roll. When we reach the end (if there even is one) I will let you know! 😅

Wow! An endless roll of plastic wrap!! Yes, please let us know when the end appears.

I used to have one of those – a Costco special. One day, about 10 years in, I went to grab a piece and noticed that it felt greasy. Upon closer inspection, I realized, to my horror, that the plastic was actively reverting to oil – droplets around the ends of the roll were clearly visible. It went to the Ecocentre for disposal

Aaaackk!! Sounds disgusting – and I’m sure it looked it! I think I bought mine in what used to be the Loblaw’s on St. Jacques, now a Maxi as I’m sure you know. I seem to remember they had a whole aisle with these no-name products. Does Maxi still have that? I should go check!

Oh thank you Matthew! I have so much fun trying to come up with those “hooks”! It’s sort of a Golden-Rule variation – what teaser would grab *my* attention? 😅 Happy New Year to you and Sara!
