1962. Was it fun for you? For me, not so much… though I sure had a nice dress! I’m reblogging my graduation dance experience because, well, it’s that time of year, and memories abound…
Fifty-four years ago, in 1962, I came of age. Not just because I graduated from high school at the tender age of 16. And not because I shortly afterward landed my first job. (Prudential Assurance, corner of Dorchester and University.)

Although I know it didn’t feel like it at the time, I think you had a lucky escape from that moronic guy! 🙂

In 1960 I started work at Montreal Life Insurance on Sherbrooke, virtually at the corner of University (and had gone to Montreal High, just a few 100 yards away. I used to go to Sun Life a couple of times a week for an hour (Dominion Square) to study for the series of exams of the Life Office Management Association. Later worked at Merrill Lynch which might even have been in the same building as you (1961) – soon abandoned it all and ran away to sea and leter to university (Sir George). Love your posts, Ellie and you look amazing
