Before my flight from Montreal to New York was due to leave on August 26, I had no idea if it would actually happen, since Air Canada’s flight attendants were on strike. And I was sooo ready to visit my son Jeremy and his wife Lucy, as I hadn’t seen them in almost two years.

Last week I flew from Montreal to New York – specifically, Long Island… to visit my son and daughter-in-law, whom I hadn’t seen in over two years! (No thanks to you, pandemic, and border closures!)
So Near… and Yet So Far!😟
It’s a cliché, but in this case it fits perfectly. My son, Jeremy, is 454 miles or 731 km away, but I haven’t been able to see him nor his wife, Lucy, since spring, 2019!

When I started this blog on June 28, 2015, I was scared out of my wits. What would I write? Who would read it? How long could I keep it going?

Laughter: The Universal Language – #123
A little note – this is the 4th anniversary of my blog! Here’s a laughter post especially in honour of my province’s holiday today, “Fête nationale” or, as it used to be called (and still is, by many sentimental types) St-Jean-Baptiste day. (St. John the Baptist is the patron saint of Quebec, and June 24th is his “feast day” in the Roman Catholic Church.)
