The Grammar Cop is always alert to catch a variety of flubs – all things language-related, including misspellings, grammatical bloopers, homonym confusion and the like. I do not, however, bother with typos. All of us are guilty of those from time to time. Here’s a sampling of egregious errors from this week.
My Cat From Heaven
The title of this little piece is – if you didn’t know – a play on the name of the Animal Planet show, My Cat From Hell, starring the well-known cat whisperer, Jackson Galaxy.
The Steeple
Gonggg! …Gonggg! …Gonggg!

To spank or not to spank? 3 reasons why you shouldn’t.
I have a strong anti-spanking bias. I formed it based on my own experiences as a child who was occasionally spanked, but it was really honed during my years as a family-support worker, when I used to make home visits to troubled families. Here in a nutshell are my three reasons for NOT spanking our kids.
Friday Follies #16 – Some mistakes that make me go “Arghhh”!

Greece: Episode Two – I knocked harder.
Turns out that knocking harder on a (thin) glass patio door isn’t such a good idea.
