Hi all! The Grammar Cop is taking advantage of a super-sunny long weekend now. Here in Canada, Monday is a statutory holiday. It is Victoria Day, named after a very long-lived Queen of England. But here in the province of Quebec, francophones have dubbed it “Journée nationale des patriotes.” – National Patriots Day – to honor the rebellion against the British in 1837. It falls on the Monday before May 25, coinciding with Victoria Day, each year. (For history buffs, you can read about that rebellion here.)
Have a great weekend and see you next Friday!
I missed the grammar cop, but I’m glad you are having a lovely long weekend.
