Church(es) on Sunday?

Is it odd for a Jewish-born atheist to be fascinated with churches? If so, then… I’m odd! 😄

This is a photo I took yesterday, looking up at The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul. It’s a bit of an unusual view taken from a corner of the building where I was waiting (interminably!) at a bus stop at the corner of Sherbrooke Street West and Bishop, in downtown Montreal. Someday I must see what this imposing Presbyterian church looks like inside!

Four years ago I wrote about a Catholic church in Outremont. My little story was from a memory of mine when I was six years old. For those of you who didn’t see it the first time, I’ll give you the link here: it’s called The Steeple.

Got to go now. More churches to explore – it’s Sunday! 🙂

  1. I don’t find it odd. It’s amazing what humans will dedicate their lives to building for their deities (no matter how fictitious). I marvel at these structures everywhere I travel. Humans have no shortage of wondrous oddities!
