How lucky am I, to have a daughter who likes to bake… π€©
… and even luckier that she still has the famous (in our family, at least!) Never-Fail Chocolate-Cake recipe, and doesn’t mind putting it to good use! π Kathryn has actually written a blog post of her own, seen over here, describing this delicious and simple keepsake recipe, along with photos of the, um, well-used cookbook it’s in!
Here are a few pics from our visit to her beautiful home yesterday.
A most enjoyable time was had by all. We were even given a few cupcakes to take home. Ahh… it’s so lovely having grown-up children… especially when they bake. ππ₯°π
How lovely. My daughter always cooks for me as well. She is vegan, so I get a lot of different things to try. That cake looks delicious.

Glad you liked π Since you posted a close-up of a cupcake I am compelled to explain that the small white bits are just pieces of butter, since I had to take some out from the freezer and it didn’t have quite enough time to fully soften. π Fortunately didn’t affect the taste.

Oh, I didnβt even notice them! π But if anything, Iβd say they only added to the scrumptiousness!
