Heeey, fellow ‘inmates’…

As we huddle together in warm (and clean! oh so clean!) surroundings, FaceTiming loved ones or cringing at the rising numbers on TV – here’s a Leonard Cohen number, sung gleefully by Martha Wainwright (sister of Rufus, daughter of Kate McGarrigle). Many of us sang it on our Montreal balconies “with” Martha last Tuesday night, and will do so again this upcoming Tuesday: “So Long, Marianne.” (It’s followed by a couple of French songs.) It brought us a measure of camaraderie in otherwise-tough social-distancing circumstances.
