May she rest in peace – what a trailblazer!

Ruth was a brilliant, brave, strong person – a wife, mother, incidental feminist role model, and outstanding Supreme Court Justice who was truly a “social justice warrior” before the term was ever used in any pejorative sense.

At a time when women were seen as “less than” men, she saw women’s rights as part of the civil rights struggle, and argued for causes like equal pay, equal benefits, abortion rights, etc.
