My Book Launch is happening. Here’s the info:
Hi dear readers!
Here is an ‘author profile’ of me that Dan Alatorre put on his website, in the wake of my first-place win in the writing contest he hosted.
I’ll have more book news (hint: a second one is forthcoming) in the near future!
Meanwhile, here’s the link to my profile at Dan’s site.
your humble host
The winners of April’s Word Weaver Writing Contest share their thoughts on the contest, writing in general, and other stuff.

Things are moving really fast now, people! My book is being formatted as an eBook by Shane Simmons, best son-in-law and writer ever! I’ll have the ISBN shortly. And oh! The cover! Take a look!
Three-and-a-half months. That’s how long it’s been since my last report to you. How time flies! It especially flies in the “attempting-to-get-one’s-book-traditionally-published” world. My latest news is:

Hi all, one last post (!) before I sign off until next week. This is a one-page synopsis of my book, which I wrote to accompany my query letters to agents and publishers. Pretend you’re a literary agent or a publisher, and let me know what you think.
Hi all! Just checking in to let you know what’s happening with the queries I sent out. I’ve received two polite rejections so far. I figure they’re a plus, since they didn’t specify: “…and don’t you EVER send us any more of your crappy so-called writing!”
Okay, I have been initiated: I got my first rejection letter today from an agent. If I really want to be pessimistic, I could say it’s the first of many. However, I still have hope.
So as I mentioned in my last update, I was deep in revisions – but since then I’ve finished that phase and have embarked on my first query submissions to literary agents.
