Friday Follies #190 – Making Grammar Great Again, One Hyphen at a Time

Hi again, FF fans! Today’s grammar-challenged gaffes share one thing they all have – or rather, don’t have.

  1. “Ubisoft, Gameloft, Eidos and a score of independent video game developers have all set up shop in Montreal.”
  2. “It truly is a world class playground.”
  3. “Sell your gold and platinum with a competitive same day cash payout.”

The corrections:

Hyphen-o-phobia strikes again! Simply add a “-“!

Oh wait… you want to know where to add the “-“? Here you go:

  1. …a score of independent video-game developers have…
  2. …a world-class playground.
  3. …a competitive same-day cash payout.

Are you seeing a pattern here? Yay! This very lazy-ass Grammar Cop wishes you a fun and relaxing weekend! 😄

  1. 1-The writer probably was playing video games instead of checking for grammar errors.
2-This writer was at the playground instead of studying grammar.
3-This writer will probably have to sell everything as he/she will lose writing jobs due to poor grammar. 🙂
