Boris Brott is gone. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, he was a legendary orchestra conductor – passed on way too soon at 78. Murdered in a hit-and-run by an idiot in a speeding car!
I remember him from West Hill High School, here in Montreal where he grew up; he was a prodigy back then. Over the years he became world renowned. Here he is conducting the Symphony Orchestra of Festival Di Pesqua in a performance of Omaggio a Domenico Barolucci:

They did. 33-year-old arrested.

I had to read this notice of his horrible death twice. I thought I was imagining. He was brilliant. RIP
