The Fuller Brush Man
Long ago, back through the mists of time to around 1938, my parents had been married about a year. Ida and Sam have been gone from this earth for some time now, but I feel compelled to tell you the tale of the Fuller Brush Man’s visit.

Exactly 11 years ago I saw her for the last time. My friend, daughter and I went together to the Jewish General Hospital to see my mom. She’d been suffering from congestive heart failure for many months, sliding inexorably downhill.
